Release day is finally here! I’m so excited about this Concrete Jungle quilt pattern, it has been in the works since June and I have truly poured my heart into it.
Concrete Jungle comes in 5 sizes:
- Baby (30″ x 40″)
- Lap (45″ x 60″)
- Throw (54″ x 69″)
- Twin (70″ x 93″)
- Bed (93″ x 93″)
Concrete Jungle is the first in the Mockprov quilt pattern series, a collection of quilt patterns that look like improvisational quilts, but with all the math done for you!
Because of this, each size in the pattern looks slightly different, while still keeping the integrity of the design.
Although it takes a little bit to cut out all the pieces, once that part is behind you, the quilt comes together quickly! You could easily make the top in a weekend!
I’ve made 4 Concrete Jungle quilts so far and I have plans for more! While I’ve mainly made the throw size, I had testers who tested every size for me for accuracy!
Cover Quilt | PBS Solids
My cover Concrete Jungle quilt is the throw size in Paintbrush Studio solids. I planned the colors around the backing, which is from Paintbrush Studio’s Urban Jungle line.
- Color 1: Teal
- Color 2: Moss
- Color 3: Mauve
- Color 4: Forest
- Color 5: Beryl
- Color 6: Sulfur
- Color 7: Rice Paper
- Bound in Teal
For the quilting, I decided on walking foot orange peel curves with Aurifil 50 wt thread in 2835 (minty green color). I love the extra texture and dimension the curves bring to this otherwise angular quilt.
Cotton + Steel Snow Flowers
The moment I saw this Cotton + Steel collection I knew it had to become a Concrete Jungle quilt. The neon-bright result didn’t disappoint! You can read more about this version (plus so many more photots!)
I pulled from my stash to create a scrappy nautical Concrete Jungle version. You can read all about it.
Fabricstork Custom Bundle
I collaborated with Fabricstork to create a Concrete Jungle quilt kit. This version includes fabrics from Figo Fabrics and Ruby Star Society. Doesn’t it have the best moody fall vibes? Buy the kit here!
Fossil Rim Baby Size
I handed this bundle of fabrics over to my friend Sherry who did such an amazing job piecing and quilting it! You can see all the photos and fabric information here!
My testers were so integral to this pattern’s success and I’m so thankful for them! Check out their beautiful versions below!
